In 2013, we had the privilege to become an adoption partner with Petco in Maple Grove, MN. This relationship has helped us place our rescues into loving homes through their national Petco Adoption Events. The Petco Foundation has served as a voice for companion animals across the country since 1999. Today, with more than 8,000 local animal-welfare partners across the country, the foundation donates approximately $15 million a year to make a difference in the lives of millions of animals.

The Sato Heart Rescue, of Milford, NH, is a small group of dedicated individuals in the Hillsborough County area who work exclusively with the Second Chance Animal Rescue, in Villalba, Puerto Rico, to find homes for Satos. “Sato” (pronounced “saw-toe”) is Puerto Rican slang for street/stray dogs.Satos come in all sizes, but they are mostly small to medium size dogs. Upon arrival, many are initially shy. However, once they realize that they are no longer in jeopardy, their true personalities surface as they settle-in and begin to relax.We are a shelterless “foster home” rescue, so all dogs in our care are living with families in the area. This gives us an opportunity to understand their personality within a home environment, allowing us to best match them with the proper family.Once a dog reaches our rescue, our foster home families and Director of Adoptions begin the search for a perfect match – a family who will give the pet a wonderful home.While waiting for their forever home, our dogs receive the best of care.
JD Animal Hospital has helped us rehabilitate and provide medical care to hundreds of our dogs at the rescue. We cannot thank enough for their dedication to our rescue efforts!
Island Dog is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to building animal-friendly communities in Puerto Rico. We focus on raising public awareness of the suffering and cruelty animals endure in the U.S. Caribbean Islands.
Random Rescue is run by Sam Punchar, a professional dog trainer and obvious dog lover! Sam's philosophy is simple: Use positive methods to train dogs, keep them well exercised, and treat them with love and respect. In return, this creates satisfied clients, well trained rescue dogs, and most importantly, tired and happy pups! Check out our site and enjoy! Sam and her wonderful staff have placed thousands of rescues from Puerto Rico. Without their kindness and compassion for our rescue efforts we could not ship dogs off the island.
